Work to Sea

While sitting at lunch, during one of the busiest weeks at work ever, it dawns me... warm sunny skies, cool constant North Easterlies, "we should go for a sail after work" says, Nick Miller. Apparently, I wasn't the only one having that very same thought! After pausing for a moment to contemplate the remaining days work load, we race back to the office to finish everything up by five. After arriving at the docks, it take only moments before the shackles of land are thrown from the cleats and the Bridge Banger is off!

Once outside the protection and comfort of the harbor, and much to our surprise, the seas have come up a bit, 3-5 ft swells at about 3 second intervals. This was quite alright though, the Bridge Banger could use a good wash! :)

We spent the next hour racing the setting sun, doing about 7 knots under both main and jib sail. Feeling the spray of each passing wave. Enjoying the crisp taste of a cool beer. Remembering the simpler times. AHOY, this is living!

The journey has begun!

Today my friend Nick Miller, founder of Los Gringos Banditos, helped me setup this blog.

Also, thanks Huey Lewis, "We're Not Here for a Long Time (We're Here for a Good Time)
